All care is delivered within the scope of family medicine and standard medical management, aligned with MSP-BC and CPSBC guidelines.

Fatty Liver facts:

  • MASLD is the most common form of liver disease in Canada, affecting at least 25% of all adults.

  • Approximately 8 million Canadians are affected by MASLD.

  • 25% of those living with MASLD develop MASH, which can further progress to severe scarring of the liver (cirrhosis).

  • If detected early, fatty liver disease can be improved, or even reversed, with lifestyle and nutrition modifications.

Dr. Arham is a licensed physician with over 26 years of clinical experience and has been practicing as a family physician in Abbotsford, British Columbia, for the past 14 years, where he currently provides care through CareXus Clinic.

Over the last two and a half years, Dr. Arham has developed a focused professional interest in lifestyle factors influencing metabolic and chronic health conditions, including nutrition, physical activity, and overall physical well-being. This area of practice evolved from reflective clinical experience and patient feedback, which encouraged him to align evidence-based medical guidance with personal practice and deeper clinical understanding.

To support this work, Dr. Arham has completed additional education and professional development in lifestyle and nutrition-based care through several internationally recognized organizations, including:

  • Nutrition Network

  • Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners

  • Low Carb USA

  • Therapeutic Nutrition programs

  • International Public Health and Therapeutic Nutrition (IPTN)

He has also acquired health coaching–related skills to support patient engagement and behavior change within a medical framework.

In addition, Dr. Arham had worked as a consultant physician with Lifestyle Rx, a multidisciplinary virtual lifestyle medicine program operating in British Columbia, Ontario, and Alberta, contributing to patient care within a structured, team-based model.

Dr. Arham continues to participate in continuing medical education (CME) through various national and international organizations, including university-affiliated programs, to maintain and enhance his clinical knowledge in the areas of nutrition, diet, lifestyle interventions, and preventive care.

Current Clinical Initiative

Dr. Arham has developed a focused clinical initiative under the name Eat & LIVE Real, providing lifestyle-informed primary care for patients with metabolic health conditions such as diabetes, pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, overweight, Fatty Liver and obesity etc.

Care follows evidence-based medical guidelines and includes prescription medications and collaboration with other healthcare professionals when needed.

Focus: Lifestyle - Prevention - Longevity

Dr Arham has a special interest in Middle Eastern, Asian, and Southeast Asian cuisines modification according to medial conditions.

The clinic will:

  • Accept referrals from medical colleagues

  • Accept new patients from the community specifically for metabolic health–related conditions

  • Provide care within the scope of family medicine, consistent with MSP-BC guidelines and CPSBC standards

Lifestyle-based interventions will be used to support standard medical care, not replace it.
